New Joys care about the environment, hope to offer some effort to protect the earth through fashion supply chains.
1. Why we do sustainability？
The global temperature is rising fast – far too fast – and climate change requires us all to take immediate action. Meanwhile, the textile industry is struggling with the fact that we are responsible for between 2-8 percent (results from studies vary) of greenhouse gas emissions. The majority of those emissions stem from fossil-based energy within manufacturing.
This is not a problem that can be overcome by any one single player in the textile industry. Collaboration is the key to achieving the crucial and industry-wide transition to renewable energy sources.
Working closely with our buyers & customers, we strive to develop sustainable materials with our partner, producing style which has good quality that could last long and offering traceable/transparent products process as much as we could. Together we could make our earth a bit better.
2. Sustainability materials we use.
We are working continuously to improve our practices and methods in order to increase the proportion of more responsible products. Together with our customers we have made products with many sustainable fabrics. Such as BCI-Better Cotton, Organic Cotton, Tencel, Recycled Polyester, Recycled Polyamide, Lenzing (Ecovero), Responsible Wool Standard, etc.
3.Produce the style which last long.
We devote to provide our customers/buyers with high quality style which could last long. Our goal with quality is to optimize the lifespan of each products, that it could be wear for a long time and when it is time for you to let go it is still worthy of being passed on to a friend or family, or reach the secondhand market. Quality is one of our highest priorities in the development process, and fabric, yarn, construction and making of the garment.
It is quite important for us that have our customer/buyer to know that which factory their garment been produced and what kind of material been used on the final products. Our factories are members of the amphora BSCI, Business Social Compliance Initiative, which means that our code of conduct complies with requirements from more than 2,300 member companies.
Regarding the sustainable materiel used in our products we also could offer TC (transaction certificate) to show the original of our product and make sure it could be traceable.
